Remote Kettlebell Training

Kettlebell Training

This is for anyone who wants to follow a progressive kettlebell program at home on an app. This also includes access to Nick’s follow along total body video workout. If you need pointers on any of the key kettlebell moves, do get in touch about a live 1-1 video training session.

The app is fully interactive including exercise videos, wellness surveys, feedback from you on how hard or easy sessions are and more. Choose from 1-3 sessions/week, and you can try it out with a free trial.

This is for those using 8 – 24kg kettlebells. Vastly effective weight training especially if you have no access to other weights or a gym at the moment. If you have just one kettlebell, that is fine. A second one of a different size would be great too.

These programs are the result of guiding hundreds of regular clients each year live and on zoom to results since 2016. There is an emphasis on the main lifts (Get-up, Squat, Swing, Clean & Press, Snatch) as well as plenty of accessory movements.

Strengthen the trunk or ‘core’, along with back, legs, hips, shoulders.

Work the cardiovascular system.

Be prepared for higher peak heart rates when going heavy.

The beauty of Kettlebell training is the vast amount of general transfer and gain to other aspects of daily activity and life.

Remote Climb-Swim-Surf

Climb-Swim-Surf

Change how you view your physical preparation at home for your climbing, swimming or surfing forever. For those only training with a resistance band and bodyweight.

This 4 week program on an app is fully interactive including exercise videos, wellness surveys, feedback from you on how hard or easy sessions are and more. Choose from upto three 30 minute sessions/week, and you can try it out with a free trial.

General preparation is the most important and often most badly carried out element of amateur sports – often people are shown stylish complex looking exercises attempting to be too ‘sport-specific’. Usually, doing the simple things better will get you increasing your physical qualities better and faster.

Enjoy re-learning how to train in the best way for you. NDM aims to address the issue of not being always being able to easily climb , swim or surf ! There are several areas of fitness and movement qualities shared by these three sports, and hence delivered in this multi-sport general training.

Vertical pull – arms relative to torso; Multi directional strength through a full shoulder and hip range of motion; Endurance of strength – repeated forceful movements; power – moving forcefully and quickly, all with great control. Trunk or ‘core’ work is also integral to apply and to resist rotation to the body and to control the limbs independently from a stable ‘base’ – and in the case of swimming and surfing in an open-chain environment.

Testimonials

We’re embracing the DOMS! – these felt harsh after the first couple of sessions of Nick’s Kettlebell fitness classes, but now are just that perfect one to two day kind and we know it’s adaptation of the body in action! They are tough but I always look forward to these sessions, and we’re all moving better and lifting more already.

I could feel the strength and fitness gains so noticeably after just 6 weeks of Nick’s Kettlebell fitnesss sessions, having just returned from some annual mountain hiking in France. My partner and I saw me motoring up the climbs like never before! I’m looking forward the next block!

Jo: I love having Nick’s classes to look forward to, It’s such a fun and satisfying way to train all-round and notice my progression. It’s really nice doing these as a couple and we like to push each other!
Kieran: Using kettlebells for endurance is such a good compliment to my barbell sessions as I want to get fitter and am seeing the difference in how much I can do during each session already!

I really loved the class and my glutes were very sore after! I thought it was a great class & loved the music!
I have to say that Nick’s kettlebell class is the hardest class I do.
Rachel

It’s a really good class! I could manage it all straight away, the flow of different exercises meant that it pushed me in just the right way and I was able to keep going with the next ones, it’s a great workout! Can’t wait for my next session!

I have been going to Nick’s classes for almost a year now. I started with his Kettlebell small group training sessions and now also go to his circuit training classes. He is a fantastic teacher and focuses on technique and is always very encouraging you to reach your top performance. I am so much stronger and fitter than when I started and it’s so satisfying to notice the improvement! He does a few different classes throughout the week which is perfect for me as I do shift work so I can always manage to fit a class or two into my schedule. Highly recommended!

Alexandra

Can’t recommend enough, in a few sessions I went from being an ok runner to getting on the podium at a trail run in the lakes. Nice way to mix up your training as a runner and help avoid injuries with Nick focussing on your form to make sure you improve every time. Kettlebells in particular are a great session.

I’ve been using Nick to help improve my windsurfing performance through overall conditioning. I have confidence in Nick’s knowledge and the ability to give me the results I need with the minimum of faff, everything we’ve done has had a purpose and scientific basis. This has been really important to me with moving house and business this year, a now 2 year old, and a heavy workload, time has been short to say the least! Any questions I’ve had Nick’s always been able to answer concisely, he knows his stuff. There has been more hip and shoulder work, two areas I’ve had problems with in the past (perhaps due to the ‘one sided’ nature of surfing and windsurfing, and some motorbike/snow/surf injuries giving me weaknesses). The results have been obvious, I’m now feeling fitter and stronger than ever despite a long history of working out in the past, but my efforts have now been more targeted and effective. I feel like I have more power now, a stronger core and stronger supporting muscles around the joints. This has really motivated me – I feel like I’m doing everything I can off the water and really the only thing holding me back at the moment is not enough wind to practice windsurfing more often. Nick has been instrumental in providing me with expert advice needed for improving my windsurfing performance, and to stay conditioned for my competitive windsurfing. It’s important for me to have quick effective workouts and stay injury free and this is exactly what Nick has given me.
